Head Tutor: The New Global Order at The Economist

Alasdair Ross has had a diverse career in the field of global affairs and media. Alasdair started in 1998 as an Editor at Latin American Newsletters, where they developed a new digital offering and wrote analysis on political and economic trends. Alasdair then moved on to Oxford Analytica in 2000, where they served as the Latin America Editor, managing a team and providing consultancy services. In 2002, they joined The Economist Intelligence Unit as the Editor of Risk Briefing, overseeing revenue growth and product development. After a successful tenure, they transitioned to various roles at The Economist, including Director of Wire Services and Global Product Director, where they focused on change management and product development. In 2018, they became an Independent Consultant at Global Affairs, advising private and public institutions on global affairs and business strategy. Alasdair also served as an Independent Non-Executive Director at The Economist Intelligence Unit. In 2020, they became a Project Consultant at the World Bank Group. Currently, they hold the position of Head Tutor for The New Global Order at The Economist. Throughout their career, Alasdair Ross has demonstrated expertise in managing editorial teams, driving product development, and providing strategic consultancy services.

Alasdair Ross obtained their MA degree in Economics from the University of London in 1998.
