Christian Odendahl is an accomplished economist currently serving as the European economics editor at The Economist since April 2022. Prior to this, Christian held the position of chief economist at the Centre for European Reform from April 2014 to March 2022 and worked as a senior economist at Roubini Global Economics from January 2013 to March 2014. Earlier experience includes a role as the Majorie Deane Fellow at The Economist from November 2011 to January 2012. Christian's academic background features a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Economics from Stockholm University, complemented by visiting research programs at UCL and the London School of Economics and Political Science, as well as a visiting student experience at Harvard University.
