Martin Adams is an experienced journalist and editor with a strong background in writing and strategic editorial management. Currently a journalist and contributor for The Economist since March 2011, Martin has also held roles including Executive Editor for Education, Industries Editor for The World Ahead, and Project Lead for Economist Applied. Prior experience at The Economist Intelligence Unit includes Deputy Managing Editor and leadership in various specialized practices. Martin's career began with positions as a freelancer and intern, alongside roles in research at The Asahi Shimbun. Academically, Martin holds an MA in international relations from Waseda University and a BA in English from the University of Leeds.
