Tanisa (Williams) Jackson has a diverse work experience in the field of Human Resources. Tanisa started their career at American Express in 2008 as a Human Resources Business Partner for American Express Publishing. Tanisa then moved on to become a Human Resources Business Partner for Global Finance, before taking on the role of Chief Human Resources Officer for the Global Corporate Payments marketing and brand strategy teams. In this role, they provided change management guidance and strategic talent leadership to senior leaders.
In 2019, Tanisa joined Amalgamated Bank as the Senior Vice President of Human Resources & Diversity and Inclusion Officer. Here, they led the HR team in managing the bank's people strategy and partnered with the executive leadership team on critical business changes.
Currently, Tanisa is the Head of Human Resources for the Americas at The Economist. In this role, they lead the Americas people strategy and provides HR insights on workplace trends aligned with business goals. Tanisa also serves as an advisor to global executives, offering guidance and coaching on all aspects of people leadership and workforce planning.
Tanisa (Williams) Jackson's education history includes a Doctor of Law (JD) degree from Syracuse University College of Law, and a Master of Arts (MA) degree from New York University. Additionally, they have obtained certifications such as the NAHR CHRO Academy Participant from the National Academy of Human Resources (NAHR) and the Brain Based Coaching Certification from the NeuroLeadership Institute.
