Tom Nuttall

Tom Nuttall is a journalist with extensive experience in editing and reporting, currently working at The Economist since January 2010 as a journalist, Charlemagne columnist, and US west coast correspondent. Previously, Tom held the position of Deputy and online Europe editor at The Economist, and served as an editor at the European Council on Foreign Relations from October 2008 to December 2009. Additional experience includes editorial assistance at The Independent (Uganda) and a senior and online editor role at Prospect magazine from March 2002 to September 2008. Earlier in their career, Tom was an editor at Workthing.com. Tom Nuttall graduated with a First class BA (Hons) in Philosophy from the University of Bristol, completing studies from 1997 to 2000.
