Kimberly Hurd

Partnerships Manager at The Editorialist

Kimberly Hurd has held several positions in the public relations and marketing fields. In 2017, they were a Director's Assistant at Barefoot Theatre Productions, where they created and taught choreography, helped actors learn their music, and assisted in setting up the performance area. In 2019, they were a Sales Associate at H&M where they sorted out stock, maintained cleanliness in the store, and worked a cash register. Also in 2019, they were a Staff Writer, Editor, and Editor In Chief at College Magazine, where they reviewed articles before publishing, recruited and trained writers and editors, and wrote weekly articles. In 2021, they were on the PRSSA National Publications Subcommittee, where they published monthly blog posts and hosted podcast episodes. In 2022, they co-launched the UF PRSSA podcast, \"Caffeine & Comm with UF PRSSA,\" and was responsible for interviewing fellow UF PRSSA chapter members, editing audio, and publishing each episode. Finally, in 2020, they held three positions at Editorialist YX: Brand Partnerships Intern, Brand Partnerships Assistant, and Partnerships Associate. In each position, they pitched their platforms to luxury brands, created marketing proposals, managed affiliate networks, and developed new partnership opportunities.

Kimberly Hurd attended Eastport-South Manor Junior Senior High School from 2015 to 2018, graduating with a High School Diploma. Kimberly then attended the University of Florida from 2018 to 2022, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Public Relations. In addition, they have obtained three certifications: Hootsuite Platform Certification from Hootsuite Academy in October 2020, Google Analytics for Beginners from Google in September 2020, and PR Council Agency-Ready Certificate from PR Council in August 2020.
