Sathappan Subramanian has over 20 years of experience in the technology industry. Sathappan began their career in 1997 as a Software Engineer at Newgen Software Technologies, where they designed and developed an application/applet based document viewer. In 1998, they joined SIP Technologies as a Senior Developer, where they created a test plan for stress, performance and scalability tests for RIP binaries and developed the Java Compatibility Kit (JCK). In 1999, they joined Deutsche Bank as a Consultant for db-direct (Internet), where they conducted feasibility analysis of using EJB's for business logic layer and ported system feature and payments module from Perl CGI to EJB & Java Servlet Framework. From 2000 to 2016, they held various roles at NexTag, including Chief Technology Officer, VP Engineering, Director of Engineering, and Engineering Manager. In these roles, they were responsible for global engineering, product strategy and data center operations, led the transformation to rebuild product catalog, data platform & processing pipeline using Big Data technologies, drove product definition & delivery of integrating Facebook Advertising with Nextag Traffic platform, and managed Traffic engineering team of 15 engineers locally and in India. In 2016, they joined Editorialist as VP Engineering.

Sathappan Subramanian attended Santa Clara University from 2011 to 2014, where they earned a MS in Engineering Management with a focus in Computer Engineering & Management. Sathappan also attended Annamalai University from 1994 to 1997, where they earned an MCA in Computer Applications.
