Michael Groysman, CPA, CA, FRM, CPA (Illinois), has a diverse work experience in finance and accounting. Michael is currently the Head of Finance at The Effort Trust Company. Prior to that, they served as the Assistant Vice President of Financial Reporting & Research at Foresters Financial from 2017 to 2022. Michael also worked at Manulife in various roles, including Director of Financial Reporting and Planning, Group Finance, Director of Accounting Policy, Group Finance, and Manager of Accounting Policy, Investments Division. Before joining Manulife, Michael worked at Ernst & Young as a Manager in Assurance Services. Throughout their career, they have been involved in financial reporting, analysis, planning, policy development, and audit procedures.

Michael Groysman, CPA, CA, FRM, CPA (Illinois) began their education at Westmount Collegiate, where they obtained a High School Diploma from 1997 to 2002. Michael then pursued a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree at the Schulich School of Business - York University from 2002 to 2006, specializing in Commerce with a focus on Finance and Accounting.

In addition to their academic achievements, Michael Groysman has obtained several certifications. In 2010, they became a Chartered Accountant from the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada (CPA Canada). In 2013, they acquired the Financial Risk Manager certification from the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP). The following year, in 2014, they became a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in Illinois through the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). Most recently, they earned a Change Management Certificate from Cornell University in December 2020 and completed an Inclusive Leadership program through LinkedIn in March 2022.
