The Equity Initiative
TJ Malvar MD-MBA is an accomplished healthcare professional and educator actively engaged in various initiatives to promote health equity and social justice. Currently serving as a Global Atlantic Fellow, Hub Lead at the Dr. Rosita G. Leong Primary Health Care Hub, and Instructor in the Health Sciences Program at Ateneo de Manila University, TJ combines clinical practice as a Primary Care Physician at Clinic ni Dok TJ with academic roles at Ateneo School of Medicine & Public Health. As a Senior Fellow with The Equity Initiative and a Forest Bathing Guide with Forest Bathing MNL, TJ demonstrates a commitment to community wellness and the environment. Additionally, entrepreneurial ventures include co-founding Gising Gising PH and participating as an Entrepreneur in Residence with Pulse 63 Healthcare Ventures. Educationally, TJ holds an MD-MBA degree from the Ateneo School of Medicine and Public Health.

The Equity Initiative
The Equity Initiative is an exciting program to nurture and facilitate the development of health equity leaders (500+) over a twenty-year period. The Initiative has two objectives: to cultivate and nurture the next generation of leadership through its fellowship program, and to build a collaborative community for promoting health equity in the region. This unique initiative is linked to global and regional institutions and partners, world-class expertise and knowledge, with long-term vision and committed sustained support, backed by a pooled fund from The Atlantic Philanthropies and the China Medical Board.
