With a background in veterinary virology, wildlife health, and One Health, Carlos Gonçalo has held various leadership positions in research, academia, and professional organizations. Their expertise includes infectious diseases in wildlife and terrestrial animals, zoonotic diseases, and risk assessments for food safety and environmental health. Carlos has a strong academic background with a PhD in Veterinary Virology and postgraduate studies in Public Health and Environmental Health.
