Alan Phan, EdD has extensive experience in the field of education. Alan currently holds the position of Associate Head of School at The Evergreen School. In 2019, they served as a DEI Consultant for The Diversity Collective. Prior to that, they were the Founding Head of School at North London Collegiate School Ho Chi Minh City from 2021 to 2023. Alan also served as the Middle School Principal at Shanghai American School from 2018 to 2021. Alan worked as a Math Specialist in International Schools (MSIS) Trainer at MSIS from 2013 to 2020. Alan also served as a Middle School Principal at American International School Chennai from 2013 to 2018, at The American School of Barcelona from 2010 to 2013, and at ACS International Schools from 2007 to 2010. Alan began their career as an Assistant HS Principal at The American School Foundation in 2005. This diverse range of roles and experiences showcases Alan's expertise and leadership in educational settings.

Alan Phan, EdD, earned their Bachelor of Arts degree in Linguistics from UC Irvine, graduating in 1993. Alan then went on to complete their Master of Arts degree in Counseling from Trinity Washington University, studying from 1997 to 2000. More recently, Phan pursued a Doctor of Education (EDD) at the University of Bath, where they studied from 2011 to 2019.
