GNC Engineer at The Exploration Company

Matthieu Paris has worked in a variety of roles since 2016. In that year, they participated in international volunteering with the French-Peruvian association Munay Wasi as a member of the Centrale Nantes association. In 2018, they completed internships at Safran and MBDA, where they assisted the program manager on landing gear development for a Hyperloop capsule and facilitated technical relations with subcontractors, co-operators and internal professions, respectively. From 2021 to 2022, they worked on a Master's thesis at Politecnico di Milano, investigating the use of the Reinforcement Learning algorithm Proximal Policy Optimization for achieving a planar Autonomous Rendezvous, Proximity Operation, and Docking (ARPOD) manoeuvre with an under-actuated CubeSat. Currently, Matthieu Paris is a GNC Engineer at The Exploration Company.

Matthieu Paris obtained their General Engineer degree from Ecole centrale de Nantes in 2021, majoring in Aeronautics. Matthieu then went on to pursue a Master of Science in Space engineering from Politecnico di Milano, which they will finish in 2021. Prior to that, they attended La martinière Monplaisir from 2014 to 2016, where they completed a 2-year degree course in mathematics, physics and engineering sciences.
