Amber Jae Slooten has a diverse work experience in the fashion industry. Amber Jae is currently a Co-Founder and Creative Director at The Fabricant, a Digital Fashion House. In this role, they lead virtual fashion design and aims to disrupt the fashion industry by creating digital collections to showcase the concept that clothing does not have to be physical to exist. Before this, they worked as a self-employed Digital Fashion Designer, creating clothes without fabric and collaborating with others on various projects.

Amber Jae also worked as a Researcher and Designer at the Fashion & Technology Lab of the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences. In this part-time role, they focused on projects related to virtually fitting and visualizing garments, using advanced technologies like 3D body scanners and digital design software. Additionally, they gained experience as a Design Assistant at Hussein Chalayan and as a Researcher and Fashion Designer at MediaLAB Amsterdam Creative Industries.

Amber Jae Slooten completed their Bachelor's Degree in Fashion & Design from Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences from 2011 to 2016. Amber Jae also pursued an Honours Degree in Fashion & Design from the same institution, specifically in the year 2013. Prior to that, from 2005 to 2011, Amber attended Arentheem College in Arnhem and obtained their VWO degree. Additionally, they obtained certifications in NLP Practitioner opleiding (weekend) in February 2018 and Word succesvol Coach of Spreker in January 2018 from Het NLP Instituut.
