Anthony Chambers Ph.D., Abpp

Anthony Chambers, PhD, ABPP has extensive experience in the field of psychology and family therapy. Anthony has held various roles at The Family Institute at Northwestern University, including Chief Academic Officer, Director of the Postdoctoral Fellowship Program, and Director of the Couple Therapy Program. Anthony also served as a Core Faculty of the Marriage and Family Therapy Program and Research Program Coordinator. At Northwestern University, they have served as a Clinical Professor of Psychology, Director of the Center for Applied Psychological and Family Studies, and Clinical Associate/Assistant Professor of Psychology. Anthony has been actively involved with the American Psychological Association, serving as a Member-at-large on the Board of Directors, Associate Editor of the Journal: Couple and Family Psychology: Research and Practice, and President of Division 43 - Society for Couple and Family Psychology. Prior to their positions at Northwestern, they were a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at The Family Institute at Northwestern University and a Clinical Fellow at Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital.

Anthony Chambers, PhD, ABPP has a comprehensive education history. Anthony attended the University School of Milwaukee from 1976 to 1991, where they obtained their High School Diploma. Anthony then pursued their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree at Hampton University from 1991 to 1996, majoring in Psychology with minors in Chemistry and Mathematics.

Subsequently, Anthony attended the University of Virginia from 1997 to 2004, where they successfully completed their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Clinical Psychology. Anthony furthered their education at Harvard Medical School from 2003 to 2005, where they acted as a Fellow and specialized in Clinical Psychology.

Anthony Chambers also holds additional certifications. In 2008, they became a Clinical Psychologist, licensed by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation. Later, in 2012, they earned the title of Board Certified Specialist in Couple and Family Psychology from the American Board of Professional Psychology Foundation.
