Brian Creighton

Brian Creighton is an experienced finance professional with a diverse background in financial reporting and advisory services. Currently serving as a Reviewer at the Financial Reporting Council since April 2021, Brian previously held the position of Director in Financial Reporting Advisory within the Technical Standards Group at BDO UK LLP from January 2001 to June 2018. In that role, significant expertise was demonstrated in UK GAAP and IFRS, providing technical advice on financial accounting and company law matters while also reviewing financial statements for AIM and fully-listed companies. Prior to BDO, Brian worked as a Manager at Deloitte from 1990 to December 2000, focusing on technical advice and training on accounting developments. Earlier career experience includes various roles at Spicer and Oppenheim (Pegler) from 1979 to 1990, encompassing audit, tax, and computer audit functions. Brian holds a BSc in Mathematics from Royal Holloway, University of London, earned between 1976 and 1979.
