Shalin Bhagwan

Shalin Bhagwan is an accomplished professional in the field of finance and actuarial science, currently serving as a Member of the Advisory Panel at the Financial Reporting Council and as Chief Actuary & Interim Chief Financial Officer at the Pension Protection Fund. Previously, Shalin held key leadership positions, including Head of Pensions Advisory at DWS Group, where product design and strategy for the DWS Secured Income Fund were led, as well as roles at Ashburton Investments and AXA Investment Managers focusing on liability-driven investment. With extensive experience in investment consulting and management across various organizations, Shalin has developed a strong expertise in risk management solutions for institutional investors, marked by a rich educational background that includes being a Fellow of the Faculty of Actuaries and a CFA charterholder.
