Alana Lim

Alana Lim has a diverse work experience in the brewing and hospitality industry. Alana began their career as a Deli Worker and Checkout Assistant at New World NZ in 2011. Alana then worked as a Waitress at The Jitsu Restaurant from 2014 to 2015. Alana then joined ACC New Zealand as a Privacy Checker/Office Support from 2015 to 2016. Next, they worked at The Emerson Brewing Co Ltd as a Taproom and Restaurant Manager and Tour Manager from 2016 to 2017. In 2018, they joined Camden Town Brewery as a Brewery Assistant and later took on the role of Tour Guide and Taproom Supervisor. Alana's brewing career progressed at The Five Points Brewing Company, where they started as a Brewery Assistant in 2019 and worked their way up as a Production Brewer and then as a Shift Lead Brewer. Currently, they hold the position of Head of Staff Welfare and Training at The Five Points Brewing Company.

Alana Lim completed their Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Otago, which they pursued from 2013 to 2015. In addition, they have obtained various certifications, including Counter Balance Sitdown Rider Forklift Operator Safety Training from RTITB in May 2023, Certified Beer Server from the Cicerone® Certification Program in April 2023, General Certificate in Brewing from the Institute of Brewing & Distilling in June 2022, HACCP Level 2 from Diplock Safety and Hygiene Ltd in May 2022, Level 2 Food Hygiene and Safety in Manufacturing from High Speed Training in April 2022, and Level 3 Emergency first aid at work from Highfield in October 2021.
