Dmitry A. Ovchinnikov

Dmitry A. Ovchinnikov is a seasoned scientific professional with extensive experience in the field of neuroscience and stem cell research. Currently serving as a Scientific Lead and Senior Research Fellow at Florey Institute of Neuroscience and Mental Health since April 2021, Dmitry also holds the position of Lab Resource Editor for Stem Cell Research at Elsevier since March 2020. Prior to these roles, Dmitry was the Chief Scientific Officer and General Manager at StemCore from July 2017 to April 2021, overseeing Australia's leading human pluripotent stem cell facility. Dmitry's academic background includes a Doctor of Philosophy in Molecular Genetics from UT MD Anderson Cancer Center UTHealth Houston and a Master of Science in Molecular Biology from Lomonosov Moscow State University.
