Laura Vella

Laura Vella is an accomplished neuroscientist with extensive experience in research and leadership roles. Since September 2014, Laura has served as the Head of the Extracellular Vesicle Laboratory and Senior Research Officer at the Florey Institute of Neuroscience and Mental Health. In addition, Laura has held various positions at the University of Melbourne since February 2008, including Research Integrity Advisor, Honorary Fellow, and Post-doctoral Fellow. Prior experience includes a post-doctoral fellowship at the Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research and being a Viertel Foundation, Alzheimer’s Australia Research Fellow at The University of Melbourne. Laura began their career as a Research Assistant at Monash University. Laura earned a PhD from The University of Melbourne and a BSc in Medical Science from La Trobe University.
