Melissa Dude currently serves as the Director of Volunteer Engagement at The Florida Aquarium since August 2018, following her role as Volunteer Program Manager. In addition, Melissa is the Co-Chair of the Volunteer Management Committee at the Association of Zoos and Aquariums, focusing on enhancing volunteer management practices across member institutions. Previously, Melissa was the Education and Outreach Director and Volunteer Program Manager at the Marine Exploration Center in St. Petersburg from July 2016 to August 2018. Melissa holds a Bachelor's degree in Marine Biology and Biological Oceanography from the University of Hawaii at Manoa and two degrees from the University of Central Florida: a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a minor in Sociology.
