The Florida Senate and the Florida House of Representatives together are the Florida Legislature, a bicameral legislature. The Florida Legislature is one of three branches of government in Florida. The other two branches are the Executive and Judicial.

The current leadership team at The Florida Senate has a wealth of experience in both the public and private sectors. They have worked as chief of staffs at the Florida House of Representatives and the Florida Speaker of the House Will Weatherford, as well as in vice president positions and internships at various companies. They hold degrees in public administration and sociology from Florida State University.
