Avery Grafeld

Avery Grafeld is an experienced journalist and editor currently serving as the Opinions Editor for The Fordham Observer since August 2022, where responsibilities include collaborating with editorial staff on bi-weekly production and managing pitches to a large network of writers and graphic contributors. Previous roles at the Observer include Assistant Opinions Editor, focusing on editing content in accordance with the Associated Press stylebook and recruiting writers, as well as Staff Writer, where story development centered on issues pertinent to the Fordham student body. Avery Grafeld also gained public relations experience as a Public Relations Intern at Head & Hand in early 2024, drafting press releases and newsletters while compiling reports on secured press coverage. Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Journalism at Fordham University, involvement includes a study program at Fordham University London in mid-2023.
