Robert (Wayde) Carter possesses extensive experience in law enforcement and education, serving as a Conservation Law/Criminal Justice Instructor at Maine Community College System since January 2019 and as an Adjunct Criminal Justice Instructor at the University of Maine at Machias since September 2019. Currently a Deputy Sheriff with the Washington County Sheriff's Office and a Police Officer with Machias Police Department, Robert has a history of law enforcement spanning over three decades, including a retired position as a Game Warden with the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife. In addition to law enforcement roles, Robert serves as Town Administrator in Marshfield, owns Carter Ridge Kennels, and operates Carter Ridge Trading Post LLC. Educational achievements include a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies with a Minor in Emergency Disaster Management from Unity Environmental University and ongoing master's studies in Criminal Justice Forensic Psychology at Liberty University.
