Chief Bioscientist at The Franklin Institute

Jayatri Das has a diverse work experience in the fields of bioscience, neuroscience, exhibits and program development, and science and technology policy. Jayatri worked as the Chief Bioscientist at The Franklin Institute since 2012. Before that, they were a Fellow at Penn Center for Neuroscience & Society from 2009. From 2008 to 2016, they served as the Mid-Atlantic Regional Hub Coordinator at NISE Network. Jayatri also worked as a Senior Exhibit and Program Developer at The Franklin Institute from 2006 to 2012. Jayatri started their career as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Pennsylvania in 2005 and was a Christine Mirzayan Graduate Fellow in Science & Technology Policy at the Koshland Science Museum of the National Academy of Sciences in the same year.

Jayatri Das completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biology, Biochemistry & Molecular Biology at Penn State University from 1995 to 1999. Jayatri then pursued a PhD in Ecology & Evolutionary Biology at Princeton University, completing it from 1999 to 2004.
