Francis Mahia

Francis Mahia currently serves as Senior Legal Counsel (Global) and Legal, Compliance and Contracts Partner for the Africa, Middle East, and United Kingdom Hub at The Fred Hollows Foundation since August 2020. Previously, Francis held the position of Legal Manager at the World Agroforestry Centre (ICRAF) from August 2014 to July 2020, where responsibilities included providing high-quality legal advisory services and ensuring legal and regulatory compliance. Earlier experience includes roles as a Legal Officer at Kirundi & Co. Advocates, Advocate at Ranja & Co. Advocates, and Pupil/Legal Assistant at Waweru Gatonye & Co. Advocates. Francis began a career in marketing as a Marketing Officer at CampAnn Solutions. Academic qualifications include a Master of Laws (LLM) in International Law from the University of Nairobi, alongside certifications in mediation and intellectual property law.
