Sam D. has a diverse and extensive work experience. Starting in 1999, they worked as a Call Center Manager at Partners in Research until 2000. From 2001 to 2002, they held the position of Call Center Manager at The Wats Room. Sam then joined Locus Telecommunications, LLC as a Customer Service Manager from 2002 to 2004, where they successfully redesigned the new hire training program to improve productivity and reduce turnover.
In 2004, Sam joined Myron Corp. as the Director of Inside Sales, where they developed and implemented a sales strategy that led to significant growth, expanding the sales team from 4 representatives to over 200 in just over 2 1/2 years. Sam also created marketing, sales, recruiting, and training programs to enhance productivity, decrease turnover, and drive customer acquisition.
From 2006 to 2007, Sam worked as the Director of Sales at OnForce, where they transformed the inside sales team into an end-to-end sales organization. Sam also implemented a consolidated CRM system, Salesforce, and played a key role in reducing outside sales and increasing inside sales headcount.
In 2007, Sam joined CompuCom as the Director of Sales, Commercial Markets. Sam'sprimary focus was on growing gross margin, scaling operations, and utilizing technology and compensation to drive work processes and behavior. Sam achieved the highest percentage per dollar for gross margin among senior-level sales managers.
From 2011 to 2018, Sam served as the President/CEO of Skinny IT, a solutions company specializing in providing customized technology hardware and system designs. Skinny IT received numerous awards, including SMU Cox Fastest Growing Business and DBJ Best Places to Work.
In 2016, Sam became the Chief Executive Officer of The Functionary, a staffing solutions company, and in 2019, they assumed the same role at ServiceDemand, a SaaS-based field service management software company. Both roles focused on scaling businesses, improving efficiency, and enhancing the customer experience.
In 2020, Sam became a Forbes Technology Council Member, an exclusive community for senior-level technology executives, where they were recognized for their depth and diversity of experience and their contributions to business growth metrics.
Throughout their career, Sam has demonstrated a track record of success in strategic leadership, operational excellence, and driving business growth.
Sam D. earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Montclair State University. In addition to their degree, Sam has obtained several certifications, including "IT Service Desk: Management Fundamentals" from LinkedIn in March 2019, "Design Thinking: Venture Design" from LinkedIn in February 2019, "Executive Leadership" from LinkedIn in February 2019, and "LinkedIn Learning Highlights: Business Strategy and Analysis" from LinkedIn in February 2019.
