Marcel M. is an experienced professional in conflict management and peacebuilding, currently serving as Programs Manager at The Fund for Peace since 2016, where responsibilities include managing USAID and ECOWAS programs focused on conflict early warning and peacebuilding across 15 West African states. Prior to this role, Marcel worked as a Civil Affairs Officer with the United Nations from 2014 to 2016, leading conflict de-escalation efforts and promoting social cohesion in Mali, and as a Content Manager with United Nations OCHA from 2011 to 2014, overseeing databases for humanitarian and security emergencies. Earlier career highlights include serving as a Research Assistant at the United Nations and as Team Lead at the U.S. Census Bureau, along with experience as a Logistics Specialist and Project Manager. Marcel holds a Master of Science in Conflict Management from Kennesaw State University, a Bachelor's degree in International Relations and Affairs, and an Associate's degree in English Language and Literature.
