Elize van der Steen

Elize van der Steen is a seasoned UX Research Lead and CX Facilitator at The Garage since September 2017, where focus lies on strategic and tactical user research and translating customer insights into impactful product and service improvements. Additionally, Elize serves as a Program Maker for Podium van de Stad at Het Klooster Woerden, nurturing new cultural initiatives within the community. As a theater maker, Elize is developing a play featuring individuals with mild intellectual disabilities, set to premiere in November 2025. Previous experience includes serving as a Board Member for Kunstenbond from April 2019 to April 2022, and as a UX Researcher at de Persgroep Nederland, conducting user research to enhance digital experiences. Elize holds a Bachelor of Science in Business/Managerial Economics from the University of Amsterdam, a Bachelor’s degree in Theater Education from the Academy of Theatre and Dance, and training in acting and directing from Theaterschool de Trap.
