Alex Smith serves as the Senior Associate Counsel at The Garrett Companies, specializing in multifamily real estate development and construction law since March 2021. Previously, Alex held the position of Associate Counsel at Lewis Wagner, LLP from July 2020 to March 2021 and worked as an Associate General Counsel at TPG Marine Enterprises LLC from May 2015 to December 2020. Alex earned a Juris Doctor degree from Indiana University School of Law—Indianapolis between 2011 and 2015 and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Business Economics from Marquette University from 2007 to 2011. Early education was completed at Brebeuf Jesuit High School from 2003 to 2007.
