Michaela Perez

Michaela Perez, MPH, currently serves as a Community Organizer at The Gathering for Justice since February 2023. Prior experience includes serving as a Delegate for the California Democratic Party from February 2021 to January 2023, representing the D-44 community, and working as a Field Organizer for Julia Brownley for Congress from August 2022 to November 2022. Michaela has held various positions such as Field Director at Food & Water Watch, Digital Inclusion Fellow at the National Digital Inclusion Alliance, and Operations Aide at the Institute for Civic & Community Engagement. Additional experience includes public policy fellowships with the City of Oakland and Tech Exchange, and serving as a Legislative Aide for the California State Senate. Michaela obtained a Master of Public Health with a focus on Social Determinants of Health & Health Policy, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from San Francisco State University.
