Sameer Lalwani

Non-resident Senior Fellow at The German Marshall Fund of the United States

Sameer Lalwani is a highly experienced expert in political science and international security, currently serving as a Senior Advisor at the Special Competitive Studies Project since May 2025 and holding multiple fellowships, including Non-Resident Senior Fellow at the German Marshall Fund of the United States and the Center for Strategic and Budgetary Assessments. Previously, Sameer served as Senior Expert at the United States Institute of Peace and held various leadership positions at The Stimson Center from 2015 to 2022. Other notable roles include a Stanton Nuclear Security Postdoctoral Fellowship at the RAND Corporation and a decade-long engagement at New America, where Sameer focused on international security.
