Nathan McAlister

Master Teacher Fellow at The Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History

Nathan McAlister is currently the Humanities Program Manager at the Kansas State Department of Education. Before this, Nathan was a Master Teacher Fellow at The Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History, where Nathan introduced curricular materials to teachers nationwide. Prior to that, Nathan taught history at Seaman High School and Royal Valley Middle School. Nathan also worked as a Curriculum Developer at the Kansas Historical Society. Nathan holds a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education from Kansas State University and a Master of Arts in Teaching in History from Emporia State University.
