Sevgin Islekel

Sevgin Islekel has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Currently, they are self-employed as a consultant since July 2018. Prior to this, Sevgin worked at companies like QReal and The Glimpse Group as a Business Management Consultant from April 2022 onwards.

Before their self-employment, Sevgin worked at GSK as the Consumer Healthcare General Manager Turkey from December 2016 to July 2018. Prior to this, they had a stint at Unilever as the Global Vice President Expert Marketing from April 2014 to January 2016, and as the Regional Category Vice President from March 2013 to April 2014.

Sevgin also had a significant role at GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) where they worked as the Consumer Healthcare Global Marketing Director from November 2011 to March 2013. Sevgin also held the position of Consumer Healthcare General Manager from April 2007 to October 2011, where they were responsible for managing consumer healthcare products in the country. During this time, they established the GSK consumer healthcare organization as a direct operation model and successfully grew existing brands while launching new ones.

Sevgin'searlier work experience includes roles at Eczacibasi Pharmaceuticals as the OTC Business Development Manager from January 2006 to April 2007, and at Johnson & Johnson as the Country Manager for LifeScan business in Turkey from June 2003 to January 2005.

Sevgin began their career at Janssen-Cilag as a Product Manager for Dermatology from March 2000 to May 2002, and at Unilever as a Brand Manager for oral care category from August 1996 to March 2000.

Sevgin Islekel pursued a certificate program in International Management at Istanbul University between 1995 and 1996. Prior to that, from 1985 to 1991, Islekel attended Ege University and studied Dentistry. Islekel's earliest recorded education history dates back to the period between 1978 and 1985 when they attended Izmir Amerikan Lisesi, a high school. In recent years, Islekel focused on naturopathic medicine and completed a Nutrition Consultant program at the American School of Natural Health from 2017 to 2019. Following this, Islekel furthered their studies at CNM College of Naturopathic Medicine, where they completed a Master Nutrition Consultant degree program specializing in Naturopathic Medicine/Naturopathy from 2019 to 2021.
