Edward Borgstein

Edward Borgstein is a seasoned professional in the energy sector, currently serving as the Managing Director of Country Delivery at The Global Energy Alliance for People and Planet (GEAPP) since September 2022. Prior to this role, Edward held the position of Director of Country Programs at The Rockefeller Foundation, contributing to the Global Energy Alliance for People and Planet from March 2021 to September 2022. With a focus on Africa's energy landscape, Edward coordinated regional programs at Rocky Mountain Institute from November 2017 to March 2021. Edward's entrepreneurial spirit is evident from their work as a Founding Partner and Senior Advisor at Mitsidi Projetos, where Edward established the consultancy as a key player in Brazil's energy market from January 2014 to February 2021. Earlier experience includes managing the engineering division at OTEC and leading a team at Enhabit Limited, where innovative energy-saving designs were developed. Edward holds an M.Eng in Engineering from the University of Cambridge, awarded in 2009.
