Garth Thomas has extensive experience in the publishing industry, with a focus on business and financial sectors. Garth joined Globe and Mail in 2018 as the Managing Director for Business and Financial Products. Prior to that, they worked at Rogers Media from 2010 to 2018, where they held various roles including Senior Director of Business Development, Executive Publisher, and Senior Director of Business Publishing. During their time at Rogers Media, Thomas achieved significant revenue growth, implemented cost-saving measures, and launched successful digital products and publications. Before joining Rogers Media, they worked at Rogers Publishing from 2005 to 2010, holding positions such as Executive Publisher and Publisher, with a specific focus on the financial services and advisor groups.
Garth Thomas completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing at Humber College from 1995 to 1996. Prior to that, they obtained an Hon BA in Sociology Economics from Trent University from 1990 to 1995. Before their university education, they attended Crescent School from 1982 to 1990.
