John Trayner

John oversees Go-Ahead’s franchised bus business in London, Go-Ahead London, as well as the group’s international bus operations in Ireland and Singapore.

During his tenure Go-Ahead London has effectively doubled in size and operates about a quarter of the capital's regulated bus network. He has worked in public transport for 45 years and has seen significant success in sustainability - with Go-Ahead London being the first bus operator in the UK to open an electric bus garage in 2016. In 2019, this project won the Energy Globe award (dubbed 'Nature's Nobel Prize'). He is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport and holds an MA in Transport Planning and Management.
