Karolina Riedel

Karolina Riedel is an experienced professional in the fields of finance, election observation, and international relations. Currently serving as a Financial Counsellor for the EU budget and Chair of the Working Party on Own Resources at Sweden in EU since August 2020, Karolina has also held significant roles at the Swedish Ministry of Finance as Deputy Director and Desk Officer from 2017 to 2020. With a longstanding commitment to election monitoring, Karolina has participated in missions worldwide as an International Election Observer for FBA since 2011, and previously worked as a Statistical Analyst for the OSCE’s election observation missions. Academic credentials include a Master's degree in economics and a Bachelor's degree in statistics and international relations from the University of Gothenburg.
