Donald Smith has extensive experience in the publishing industry, currently serving as the Publisher at The Grand Island Independent since November 2003 under Berkshire-Hathaway Media. Prior to this role, Donald was the Publisher for Morris Communications at the Juneau Empire from May 1998 to November 2003. Additionally, Donald held the position of Group Publisher for the Colorado Western Slope Publishing Group, overseeing multiple publications including the Snowmass Sun and Aspen.com.
