James Burky

James Burky is an experienced journalist with a strong background in sports reporting and editing. Currently serving as a Sports Reporter and Business Reporter for The Daily Sentinel of Grand Junction since July 2020, Burky has previously held positions as a Journalist and Copy Editor for Ms. Mayhem, as well as serving as a Sports Reporter at Evergreen Newspapers. A notable tenure at Met Media included roles as Editor In Chief, Sports Editor, and Assistant Sports Editor. Additional experience encompasses hosting for the 5280 Listening Club, internships at The Denver Post and Daily Camera, and various editorial positions at Metrosphere and profootballspot.com. James Burky holds a degree in Journalism from Metropolitan State University of Denver, complementing earlier academic achievements with a high school diploma from Standley Lake High School.
