Miinkay Yu has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. In 2023, they worked as a Death Midwife and Death Educator. Prior to that, they were a Coach at The Grand World from 2021. In 2018, they started their own business called Bodywork by Miinkay, where they provided hands-on therapies such as massage and energy work. From 2018 to 2023, they also worked as a Career Coach, helping individuals navigate their career paths.

At Accenture, Miinkay worked as a Consultant from 2008 to 2011, supporting organizations such as Stanford Medical Center and Walgreens in implementing and enhancing systems. They also worked as a Process Engineering Intern at The Dow Chemical Company in 2007, contributing to projects related to thermoplastic products and process improvement efforts.
Miinkay Yu received their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Chemical Engineering from Rice University, where they studied from 2004 to 2008. In 2017 and 2018, they attended the Institute for Psycho Structural Balancing to study Massage and Bodywork, although they did not obtain a degree during that time. Miinkay also had a study abroad experience at the HKUST Business School in 2007. In addition to their education, they obtained several certifications including Massage and Bodywork Therapist from the California Massage Therapy Council in October 2018, Holistic Life Coaching Certification from the Foundation for Holistic Life Coaching in July 2018, and Usui Reiki Level 1 and 2 from Sacred Awakenings in April 2016.
