Brittany Nelson

Brittany Nelson is a seasoned professional with diverse experience in ecological monitoring, emergency medical services, and environmental management. Currently serving as a Research Associate Program Coordinator at The Great Basin Institute since February 2022, Brittany has also held roles such as Ecological Monitoring Crew Lead for the USGS Desert Tortoise Habitat and Ecological Monitoring Technician. Prior experience includes working as an Emergency Medical Technician at Falck and Premier Ambulance, as well as a Forestry Technician with the U.S. Forest Service, where skills in fire response were developed. Additional roles include a Range Aid for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, All Purpose Staff at Stanford Sierra Conference Center, and various positions in the service industry. Brittany holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of San Diego, earned in 2015.
