Caroline McGuinness is currently a Press/Communications Intern for Frederica Wilson at the U.S. House of Representatives and an Intern at WRGW District Radio, both positions held since September 2024. McGuinness serves as a Sports Staff Writer and Sports Reporter for The GW Hatchet since August 2023. Previous experience includes working as a Campaign Intern for Jamie Raskin from June 2024 to August 2024, Blog Writer for the George Washington University Sports Business Association from November 2023 to June 2024, and Hockey Content Creator/Writer for Girls Club from December 2023 to May 2024. An internship at Ober Gallery was completed in late 2021. The GW Hatchet

The GW Hatchet, founded in 1904, is an editorially and financially independent newspaper serving The George Washington University community in downtown Washington, D.C. It is the second oldest newspaper in the city. The Society of Professional Journalists named The Hatchet the best non-daily college newspaper in the nation for 2003-2004, and again in 2006-2007. The newspaper is also a winner of the 2005 and 2008 Pacemaker and 2008 Online Pacemaker awards, given out by Associated Collegiate Press. The Hatchet counts five Pulitzer Prize winners among its alumni. The newspaper is produced by Hatchet Publications, Inc., an independent, 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation. It is headquartered in a townhouse at 609 21st St. NW in the heart of Foggy Bottom.
