Matthew Zelina

Matthew Zelina is a seasoned research professional with extensive experience in international relations, migration, and nuclear non-proliferation. Currently serving as a Research Officer at The HALO Trust since June 2023, Matthew previously held the role of Programme Manager at Ridgeway Information, overseeing a team to produce numerous reports for the European Union Agency for Asylum. Academic credentials include a PhD in International Relations from the University of Oxford and an MSc in Conflict Studies from the London School of Economics. Matthew's earlier experience includes significant roles at King’s College London and various prestigious academic institutions, as well as a decade-long service as an Army Officer with the Canadian Armed Forces, where Matthew achieved the rank of Captain.
