Charles Friend

Charles (Chuck) Friend is an accomplished financial executive with extensive experience in senior financial roles. Currently serving as Consulting CFO at The Harbour since November 2021, Chuck implements budgeting procedures, monitors grants, and enhances financial reporting. As the owner of CF & Associates Ltd since 1995, Chuck provides Client Advisory, Accounting, and Tax services. Previous roles include Accounting and Business Consultant at Interfirst Mortgage, where Chuck facilitated rapid growth and established accounting policies, and Chief Financial Officer at Cartamundi Dallas, where operational efficiency and financial accuracy were improved through strategic restructuring. Chuck also served as CFO for Canel Companies, managing the financial affairs for a prominent Chicago family and overseeing various investments. Early career experience includes being an Accounting and Audit Partner at Klayman and Korman and teaching undergraduate courses at Loyola University Chicago. Chuck holds both Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Accounting from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
