David Joe

David Joe, FCAS, currently serves as an AD and Actuarial Associate at The Hartford since August 2024. Prior experience includes a role as Senior Actuarial Analyst at Lemonade from September 2022 to July 2024, focusing on Personal Auto Pricing. David's background also encompasses positions at Metromile, where responsibilities involved redesigning and automating an Excel rate indication system and training new hires, as well as presenting state filing proposals. Early career experiences include work as an Actuarial Intern at Farmers Insurance and Mercer, as well as academic roles at UC Santa Barbara, where teaching and research in actuarial science were significant components. David holds both a Master of Science and Bachelor of Science in Actuarial Science from UC Santa Barbara.
