Ericson Imarenezor

Senior Specialist, Community Health at The Health Collaborative

Ericson Imarenezor is a Specialist in Population Health Strategies at The Health Collaborative. Ericson has over five years of experience in the medical field, with a focus on administrativecoordination and research.

Imarenezor began their career as a Medical Scribe at HSHS St. Mary's Hospital in Decatur, Illinois. In this role, they were responsible for documenting the patient's history, physical exam, results, procedures, and physician consults. Ericson also recorded physician's interpretations of X-rays and ECGs, and located and obtained patient's past medical history, previous charts, past results, and recent studies.

In July 2015, Imarenezor transitioned to a role as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where they conducted angiogenesis research under a MD/PhD candidate. Ericson looked for function, binding effects, and rates of specific regions in VEGF and PDGF receptors. Ericson also performed SPR experiments and Python Computer Programming for data analysis and sequencing.

Imarenezor left the University of Illinois in April 2016 to take a position as an Administrative Services Coordinator at CareStar. In this role, they were responsible for coordinating care services for patients with complex health needs. Ericson also provided administrative support to care team members and maintained communication with patients, families, and payers.

Imarenezor left CareStar in June 2020 to join The Health Collaborative as a Specialist in Population Health Strategies. In this role, they are responsible for developing and implementing population health strategies to improve the health of the community.

Ericson Imarenezor's educational career includes a Master's degree in Health Services Administration from Xavier University and a Bachelor's degree in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Ericson also attended Rich Central Campus High School.
