Ruth McDonald

Ruth McDonald is an accomplished investor and advisor with a strong background in strategy and operations. Currently, Ruth serves as an Investor at The Helm, specializing in early-stage ventures founded by women, and collaborates with The Newcastle Network. As the Owner of RM3 Growth, Ruth provides interim executive services and advisory for high-growth commerce companies, focusing on customer strategy and digital innovation. Previous experience includes a role as Global Vertical Lead for Retail at Meta, where Ruth oversaw the launch of an AI-powered shopping solution, and a senior management position at Deloitte, where Ruth contributed to the retail and consumer strategy practice. Ruth has also taught Business Communication for Impact as an adjunct professor at The Wharton School and co-founded Elliewood, LLC, a home entertaining business. Ruth holds a BA from the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business.
