Chris Scalia

SVP & CHRO at The Hershey Company

Chris Scalia is responsible for the company’s people and culture vision, strategy and execution. He brings a strong business acumen and passion for how talent and culture drive performance.

He has previously operated in senior executive roles leading Hershey’s global HR operations and business partner teams. He has also been responsible for talent planning and development, data and analytics, operational effectiveness as well as the strategic planning of Human Resources.

His leadership roles at Hershey have included Chief Talent Officer, Vice President, HR Business Partner, Global Functions; Senior Director, HR Business Partner, Global Supply Chain.

Scalia joined the company in 2005 in the legal department with an expertise in labor relations and transitioned to Human Resources in 2011.

He began his career in the HR Law Practice Group at Morgan, Lewis & Bockius, LLP, the world’s leading HR law practice. Scalia earned a Master of Human Resources from Cornell University, a Juris Doctorate from Pennsylvania State University, and a Bachelor of Arts from Juniata College. He remains a licensed attorney in Pennsylvania.

Outside of work, Scalia actively mentors and advocates for children at risk, suicide prevention and the expansion of educational opportunities.
