Mike Burnette

Mike Burnette has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Mike most recently worked at The Hickory Tavern as the Director of Network & Data Administration. Prior to that, they served as the Operations/Data Analyst Manager at the same company. Before joining The Hickory Tavern, Mike worked at Kohler Co. as an XML Product Data Programmer/Developer. Mike also gained experience as a Junior Java Developer at BBVA. In addition, Mike completed various projects independently, including a Weather API/Geocoder project and a Geolocation TDD and CSV Parsing Project using C#. Mike began their career in 2000 as a Regional Operations Manager at T & B Management, LLC, where they worked for nearly 20 years.

Mike Burnette completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology Management from Purdue Global, from 2018 to 2022. Additionally, in 2020, they attended TrueCoders for Full-Stack Software Development but did not obtain a degree. In 2013 and 2014, they pursued Cloud Computing/Engineering at ECPI University. Prior to that, from 1996 to 1999, they studied Marketing/Marketing Management, General at Virginia Commonwealth University.

In terms of certifications, Mike obtained the "Learn Java Course" from Codecademy in November 2020. Mike also achieved the "Professional Scrum Master I" certification from Scrum.org in August 2020. Furthermore, they obtained certifications in C# and SQL from SoloLearn in July 2020. Mike has been recognized on multiple occasions for their academic accomplishments, including being on the Chancellor's List at Purdue University Global in January 2020, May 2019, February 2019, December 2018, and September 2018. Additionally, they made the Dean's List in March 2020.
