Mariam Ghafori

Mariam Ghafori has a diverse work experience across various industries. Mariam began their career in 2012 as a Cash Applications Clerk and Accounts Receivable Clerk at Holcim Canada. Following that, they worked as a Pre-employment Screening Consultant at Garda - Global Risk Consulting for a few months. From 2012 to 2017, Mariam worked at The Home Depot Canada, starting as a Retail Staffing Specialist and eventually becoming a Human Resources Specialist. Mariam'sresponsibilities included overseeing the hiring process, engaging candidates in phone interviews, building relationships with HR partners and agencies, ensuring compliance with company policies and legislation, and managing the background check process. Mariam also coached and mentored staffing coordinators and conducted training on sourcing strategies. In 2018, they transitioned to the role of Lead - Talent Sourcing, where they continued to contribute to recruitment efforts and reduced time to fill for hard-to-fill positions.

Mariam Ghafori earned a BHRM degree from York University from 2013 to 2015. Prior to that, they studied Human Resources Management at Centennial College from 2007 to 2010.
